27th February 2008
The short list for the 5th annual Central & Eastern European Real Estate Quality Awards for outstanding performance and achievement in 2007 has been announced, decided from more than 300 nominations received in 16 award categories for the best projects, companies and industry professionals across 10 countries in Central & Eastern Europe.
As one of the worlds most exciting and thriving emerging property markets further matures, the list is dominated by an increasing number of "international majors" as well as a growing phalanx of successful "home grown majors" competing on increasingly level terms, but as always there are a few surprise candidates and omissions. The nominations were reviewed and scored by a jury of well known senior industry figures in the first phase of the judging process, which will conclude with a final vote on the short-lists preceding the awards ceremony.
The winners of the sector's main annual industry awards, produced in association with the Financial Times, will be announced on Wednesday 27th February at the prestigious CEE Quality Awards gala dinner & awards ceremony at the Hilton Warsaw Hotel.
The Project Awards are for real estate projects officially completed and opened for tenant occupation during 2007, awarded for design, punctuality, location and accessibility, sustainability and all round commercial success.
The Company Awards are for business performance and achievement during 2007, awarded for leadership, innovation, customer service and over all business achievement.
These awards are for outstanding and sustained contribution to the CEE Real Estate sector, awarded vision, innovation, leadership and profile. The Green Initiative Award is for mobilising and encouraging energy efficient and eco-sustainable building design as a standard practice in Central & Eastern European real estate.
